The community based life skills program is an integral part of the curriculum for TASC and ACESS programs at Mount Royal Junior High School. As such, we will be leaving the school starting off in close proximity, learning street and community safety in a real-world setting. We will gradually build on our walking skills and move further out into the Mount Royal community’s local stores, parks and community service providers. We will be including safety, community travel training and purchasing food items from different local vendors.
(fire station and Calhoun Library, ect.). These activities will occur on various dates throughout the 2017/18 school year with our first walk happening on Thursday October 4th, 2017.
